Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Qahtan Publishes a Scientific Paper Indexed in Scopus
Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Qahtan Jassim (Scientific Assistant) at the College of Applied Sciences, University of Samarra, has published a scientific paper indexed in Scopus in the Assiut University Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which is ranked in the fourth quartile (Q4) within the Scopus database. The publication was part of the Second Samarra International Conference for Pure and Applied Sciences.
The research is entitled:
“Single-Cell Analysis of Intercellular Signaling Pathways as a Strategy for Targeted Immunotherapy in Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia.”
The study aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of complex intercellular signaling and pathway dysregulation in Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML) in order to develop novel therapeutic strategies targeting the immune system.
In conclusion, the findings revealed a downregulation of immune-related pathways, including interleukins, cytokine signaling pathways, and the CSF3 receptor pathway between neutrophils and progenitor cells. This dysregulation contributes to weakened immune cells and the development of an immunodeficient microenvironment.
