The College of Applied Sciences Organizes a Training Course on DNA Extraction from Blood
The College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra organized a practical training course on “DNA Extraction from Blood Samples,” delivered by Dr. Nebras Sarhan Khudair.
The course lecture aimed to equip students with a solid understanding of the scientific and practical principles of isolating DNA from blood, as well as to develop their laboratory skills, enabling them to apply this technique in various medical and research fields.
In a related context, Dr. Khudair emphasized the importance of distinguishing between blood components and understanding the role of white blood cells as the primary source of DNA. She also highlighted the application of DNA purification and precipitation techniques to obtain high-quality samples.
