College of Islamic Sciences Organizes a Course Titled: Student Rights Between Sharia and Law

The College of Islamic Sciences organized an educational scientific course titled: “Student Rights Between Sharia and Law,” with the aim of enhancing students’ awareness of their educational and ethical rights according to the principles of Islamic Sharia and modern laws, as well as clarifying the duties and responsibilities that contribute to building a safe and fair educational environment.

The course addressed several important topics. The first session explained the concept of student rights, while the second discussed student rights in Islamic Sharia. The third focused on student rights within the legal framework, whereas the fourth examined students’ duties within educational institutions. The course concluded with a discussion on balancing rights and responsibilities and its role in achieving academic and educational stability.

The course aimed to introduce the concept of student rights, distinguish between rights guaranteed by Islamic Sharia and educational laws, enhance understanding of student responsibilities within educational institutions, promote a culture of respect, discipline, and coexistence, and clarify legal and civilized methods for claiming rights.

At the conclusion of the course, participants presented several recommendations, most notably promoting a culture of rights in schools and universities, strengthening dialogue between students and educational administrations, providing a safe and motivating educational environment, and educating students on ethical and legal approaches to claiming their rights.
