College of Islamic Sciences Organizes a Chess Championship Among College Departments Under the Patronage of Its Dean

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hassan Ahmed Hussein, and in cooperation with the Department of Sharia and the Student Activities Unit, the College of Islamic Sciences organized a chess championship for the college departments, with the participation of several students who demonstrated outstanding skills and a high competitive spirit.

The championship witnessed an enthusiastic atmosphere and strong competition among participants, reflecting the college’s commitment to supporting student activities and developing students’ intellectual and mental abilities, in addition to promoting cooperation and positive competition among them.

The tournament results concluded with the student Hassan Fadel Tarfa from the Department of Sharia winning first place after a strong and distinguished competition with the student Abdullah Majid Rashid from the same department, who secured second place.

At the conclusion of the championship, the college administration praised the organizational efforts made, affirming its commitment to holding cultural and sports activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and refining their various talents.
