University of Samarra adopts comprehensive pedestrian path policy to enhance a safe and sustainable campus environment
The University of Samarra announced the implementation of an integrated pedestrian path policy within the campus, aimed at providing a safe and accessible educational environment.
This policy includes separating vehicle roads from pedestrian walkways, equipping ramps and guiding blocks to support individuals with physical disabilities, and installing directional signs and traffic boards to facilitate movement for students, staff, and visitors.
The university confirmed that the pathways are equipped with modern lighting systems, including about 200 solar-powered lamps with automatic light-intensity control, as part of its efforts to strengthen sustainable infrastructure and improve the quality of campus life.
