Department of Sharia Organizes a Training Course on Islamic Values and Their Role in Facing Contemporary Challenges
The Department of Sharia at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a training course titled: “Islamic Values and Their Role in Facing Contemporary Challenges,” with the participation of a number of faculty members and researchers, aiming to enhance awareness of Islamic values and their role in building both the individual and society.
The course addressed the importance of Islamic values as an integrated ethical and educational system that has historically contributed to establishing principles of justice, tolerance, and social solidarity, in addition to their role in achieving psychological, social, and intellectual stability.
The course themes also highlighted the most significant intellectual, cultural, and technological challenges facing contemporary societies, and explained the importance of adhering to Islamic values in confronting these changes, preserving authentic identity, and building a conscious generation capable of dealing with modern challenges in a spirit of moderation and responsibility.
At its conclusion, the course affirmed that Islamic values represent an essential foundation for building individuals and protecting society from intellectual and behavioral deviations, stressing the necessity of consolidating these values in educational and social institutions in a manner that contributes to strengthening social cohesion and stability.
