Professor Dr. Firas Madallah Majeed Serves as a Member of a PhD Dissertation Defense Committee at the University of Samarra

Professor Dr. Firas Madallah Majeed, a faculty member in the Department of Creed and Islamic Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Samarra, participated as a member of the PhD dissertation defense committee for the dissertation submitted by the researcher Haider Abdul Fattah Jaafar in the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Samarra.

The dissertation was entitled: “Issues of Sam‘iyyat in the Book Al-Taysir fi Al-Tafsir by Imam Abu Nasr Al-Qushayri (d. 514 AH): A Doctrinal Study.” It addressed a number of theological issues related to the matters of Sam‘iyyat discussed in Imam Al-Qushayri’s exegesis, while clarifying his methodology and viewpoints in this field.

Dr. Firas was selected to serve on the defense committee in recognition of his extensive scholarly expertise and academic specialization in creed, Islamic thought, and Qur’anic studies. His distinguished research contributions and active participation in evaluating postgraduate research and academic studies further qualify him to contribute effectively to assessing the dissertation and enriching the scientific discussion.
