A Student from the College of Physical Education Crowned World Cup Champion for the Second Consecutive Time
Student Ismail Abdul Khaliq Hamid, from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Samarra, achieved a new international sporting milestone, adding to his distinguished record of accomplishments. He was crowned World Champion and won the gold medal for the second consecutive time in the 91 kg Full Contact category at the Full Contact World Cup Championship, held in Poland.
This achievement came after intense competition involving more than 1,000 athletes representing over 20 countries from around the world. Hamid demonstrated outstanding technical skills and exceptional performance throughout the tournament, earning his place at the top of the podium and securing the gold medal with merit and distinction.
This victory further highlights the high athletic potential of students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and reflects the continuous support provided by the College for talented athletes, contributing to enhancing the reputation of both the University and Iraq in international sporting arenas.
