The Department of Qur\’anic Sciences and Islamic Education Organizes a Scientific Course Entitled \”Faith-Inspiring Insights in Islamic Creed and Qur\’anic Sciences

The Department of Qur\’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a scientific course entitled \”Faith-Inspiring Insights in Islamic Creed and Qur\’anic Sciences.\” The course was presented by Professor Dr. Taha Khalid Mohammed Arab and Lecturer Mohammed Abbas Shaker.

The course aimed to strengthen faith in Allah Almighty, consolidate the correct Islamic creed, and introduce the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and their role in understanding, contemplating, and applying the teachings of the Book of Allah.

The course covered several topics, including the six pillars of faith and the impact of Islamic creed on shaping the Muslim personality, as well as warning against misconceptions and doubts that weaken faith. The lecturers also discussed the sciences of the Qur’an, their origin and development, the stages of the Qur’an’s revelation, compilation, and preservation, in addition to the study of the occasions of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul), the Makki and Madani verses, abrogating and abrogated verses, and the linguistic, legislative, and unseen aspects of the Qur’an’s miraculous nature.

At the conclusion of the course, the lecturers emphasized the importance of such programs in increasing certainty and faith, developing the ability to reflect upon the Qur’an, and building a solid scholarly foundation in Islamic creed and Qur’anic sciences among students of knowledge.
