Employee at the College of Education for Humanities Receives the Naji Al-Tikriti Award for Excellence in Short Story Writing
Mr. Imad Ibrahim Iltif, an employee of the College of Education for Humanities at Samarra University, has won the Naji Al-Tikriti Award for Creative Story Writing in its third edition for his short story entitled \”The Clock Man.\” The award was granted as part of an Arab literary competition that attracted hundreds of creative submissions and wide participation from short story writers across the Arab world.
Iltif secured the award after strong literary competition. His narrative text stood out for its artistic structure and profound symbolism. The story revolves around Mansour Al-Bashari, whose heart transforms into a mechanical device that regulates the rhythm of time in the neighborhood of Al-Khariba. However, love eventually disrupts this system, leading to its dramatic collapse and presenting an innovative artistic vision on time, humanity, and destiny.
This achievement represents an important addition to the cultural and literary presence of the members of the College of Education for Humanities. It reflects Imad Ibrahim Iltif’s storytelling talent and creative abilities, which distinguished his work among a large number of Arab submissions, further affirming the college’s presence in Arab cultural and creative forums.
