Department of Creed Organizes a Scientific Course on the Islamic Conquests in Armenia

The Department of Creed and Islamic Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific course entitled “The Islamic Conquests in Armenia.” The course addressed the historical, military, and political aspects of the Islamic conquests in the region of Armenia, highlighting their importance in the expansion of the Islamic state during the early eras, as well as the civilizational and cultural interactions that resulted from them and contributed to consolidating the Islamic presence in the region.

The course targeted students of history and Islamic studies departments, researchers and those interested in Islamic history and the history of the Caucasus region, teachers and instructors of history and Islamic education, staff members working in research and cultural centers, as well as postgraduate students in the fields of history and humanities. It aimed to enrich historical knowledge and enhance awareness of the pivotal events witnessed by the region in the early period of Islam.
