Faculty of Engineering Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Faculty of Agriculture to Consolidate Concepts of Sustainability and Renewable Energy
A joint cooperation memorandum was signed between the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Units at the Faculties of Engineering and Agriculture at Samarra University, with the ratification of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Amjed Saleh Mahmood, and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al-Sahar. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the officials of the Quality Assurance Unit in both faculties to commence the actual implementation of the agreement’s terms.
The memorandum, valid for the academic years (2026–2027) and (2027–2028), aims to consolidate the culture of sustainability, promote environmental awareness, unify occupational safety standards, and reduce pollutants within workshops and laboratories through the Health and Safety units in both faculties.
At the same time, the memorandum focuses on enhancing scientific exchange, leveraging shared capabilities and available technologies, and supporting circular economy concepts alongside renewable energy applications. A joint coordination committee will be responsible for developing annual work plans and monitoring execution, with the option for automatic renewal of the agreement upon mutual consent.
