The Scientific Assistant Chairs Meeting of the Committee for Implementing Ministerial Recommendations

Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed (Assistant University President for Scientific Affairs) chaired a meeting that included the directors of the Center for Continuing Education, the Center for Studies and Planning, the Media and Government Communication Department, and the head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the university’s headquarters.

The attendees aimed to implement the ministerial recommendations related to the strategy for combating intellectual extremism leading to terrorism, as outlined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in its letter issued on October 16.

In turn, the Scientific Assistant directed the relevant university colleges to require some undergraduate students to write their graduation projects addressing the issue of extremism.

The attendees concluded by emphasizing the importance of all university colleges organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness lectures to combat the scourge of intellectual extremism. Additionally, they decided to provide the Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up at the university with weekly activities to inform the ministry about the implementation of the strategy.
