Launch of the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day 2026 Activities at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Samarra

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Samarra witnessed the launch of the activities of the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day 2026, under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Alawi Khalaf, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Salam Ahmed. The event was marked by distinguished academic attendance and notable engagement from faculty members and individuals interested in entrepreneurship.

This initiative aims to promote and institutionalize a culture of entrepreneurship among university students by equipping them with the essential skills and knowledge required to establish and manage their own ventures. Such efforts contribute to supporting the local economy and advancing the objectives of sustainable development, while also fostering a spirit of innovation and initiative within the university environment.

A number of faculty members participated in the conference activities, including Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Scientific Assistant to the Dean; Dr. Ali Abdulqader Mahmoud, Head of the Department of Business Administration; and Assistant Lecturer Saber Hamad Mahmoud, a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration.

During the opening address, participants expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the College Deanship for the excellent organization and preparation of the event. They emphasized the importance of sustaining such high-quality initiatives that foster a creative environment and open new horizons for students to transform their ideas into practical and viable projects.

This event forms part of the College’s ongoing efforts to empower university youth, refine their entrepreneurial capabilities, and contribute to building a promising knowledge-based entrepreneurial society that keeps pace with the demands of the coming stage.
