Assistant Professor Dr. Maysam Bahaa Salih presented a paper at the Comedy Spirit Symposium, University of Baghdad
Assistant Professor Dr. Maysam Bahaa Salih – a professor – at the College of Education at Samarra University, presented a paper entitled “Treatment of Comedy in the Harry Potter Novel by J.K. Rowling,” and within the proceedings of the cultural and literary symposium held by the College at the University of Baghdad.
The paper aims to present the essential elements of comedy and its details in children’s literature and adolescents, its impact on the reader in particular and the recipient in general, and the interaction, harmony, and mark that occurs on it in the short and long term.
In her research paper, Salih reviewed a group of scenes and fictional characters that had a sense of humor and enjoyed it. It impacted readers’ minds significantly, especially in the novel, the research sample, which invested satirical comedy in its chapters.
