The Department of Computer Science at the College of Applied Sciences Discusses Digital Citizenship in a Scientific Seminar
The Department of Computer Science at the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra discussed “Digital Citizenship” in a scientific seminar, presented by Assist. Lect. (Omar Hamed Falih).
Omar sought to provide students with digital skills and technical responsibility, and to guide them toward supporting cooperation between the digital citizen and the electronic government, in addition to raising their awareness in the fields of digital security.
The lecturer explained the role of electronic government in providing fast services, as well as the principles of digital citizenship and electronic rights and responsibilities, along with highlighting the integrative relationships between the digital citizen and the effective government system.
The seminar concluded by focusing on the importance of educating students by engaging them in the digital society, practicing the protection of identity and personal data, and supporting cooperation between the digital citizen and the electronic government to ensure a secure digital society.
