College of Engineering Organizes a Training Course on Engineering Project Management and Digital Marketing
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Samarra, organized a specialized training course titled “Management of Women’s Projects.” The course was presented by Mr. Anas Badr Hameed, a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department, and spanned two days, Monday and Tuesday, February 16–17, 2026.
The instructor aimed to empower engineering staff and students with modern digital tools and applications. The sessions focused on leveraging technology to enhance an engineer’s professional value by understanding and investing in the core elements of the Marketing Mix: the engineering product, flexible pricing strategies, place management (in both digital and physical contexts), and smart promotion.
Furthermore, the sessions included a detailed explanation of Personal Branding for engineers, demonstrating how to transform consultative and technical skills into competitive advantages that attract clients in an ever-changing labor market.
The course concluded by reviewing mechanisms for an effective digital presence via professional platforms and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). A practical roadmap was provided, starting with defining professional identity and target audiences, and ending with using analytical tools to measure performance. This ensures participants can build sustainable careers based on digital solutions for managing engineering projects with high efficiency and professionalism.
The event witnessed a distinguished attendance, led by the Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Heads of Scientific Departments, alongside a select group of faculty members and engineers. The course also saw active participation from engineers of the Construction and Projects Department at the University Presidency, in addition to a wide presence of postgraduate and undergraduate students, creating a rich interactive environment between academic expertise and field application.
> Note: This course was conducted in implementation of the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls (2025–2030), specifically Paragraph (2) regarding technology and digital marketing under the protection and prevention pillar.
