A Faculty Member at Samarra University Publishes Scientific Research on Pyrolysis in a Clarivate-Indexed Journal
Mr. Laith Amjad Hameed, a faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Samarra, has published a scientific research paper titled:
\\\”Pyrolysis of Contaminated Agricultural High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Waste: A Review of Operating Conditions, Contaminants, and Process Behavior\\\” in the \\\”Journal of Environmental Management\\\” published by the international publisher Elsevier.
The journal is ranked within the first quartile (Q1) in the Clarivate analytics database.
In his research, Laith focused on analyzing the impact of operating conditions and the presence of contaminants in raw materials on the efficiency of the chemical process and the nature of the extracted products.
The research included a comprehensive and in-depth scientific review of recent studies demonstrating the pyrolysis process of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) waste generated from agricultural activities.
At the same time, the researcher addressed the scientific complexities associated with chemical reaction pathways under the influence of contaminants and the resulting emissions, while identifying the knowledge gaps that researchers still face in this vital field.
In turn, the Department of Media and Government Communication congratulates the faculty member at the College of Engineering for this distinguished scientific output, which is considered one of the sustainable engineering solutions for plastic waste management and environmental protection.
