College of Engineering Celebrates Students in Surat Al-Furqan Memorization Competition
The College of Engineering at the University of Samarra organized a memorization competition for Surat Al-Furqan for its students—in an atmosphere filled with spirituality—in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Amjed Saleh Mahmood, the Scientific Assistant, and a group of department heads and staff members.
The competition witnessed strong rivalry supervised by a specialized committee that adopted criteria of precise memorization, recitation rules, and vocal beauty.
The results culminated in student Mohammed Nizar Saleh winning first place, followed by student Sarah Abdul-Moneim Abdul-Razzaq in second place, while student Manar Ammar Ibrahim took third place.
At the conclusion of the event, the Dean delivered a speech expressing his pride in the participants, emphasizing that moral and religious character is the true guarantee for the integrity of the engineering personality and its adherence to professional honesty, drawing inspiration from the qualities of “Servants of the Most Merciful” as a model for the conscious engineer.At the same time, the Dean extended his thanks to the organizing committee and the Media Division staff, promising to honor the winners in an upcoming ceremony in appreciation of their spiritual and academic excellence.
