Enhancing Applied Aspects… The College of Agriculture Accompanies Its Students on a Visit to the Extension Farm in Balad
The College of Agriculture at the University of Samarra accompanied second-stage students in the Department of Field Crops on a scientific visit to the extension farm belonging to the Department of Agricultural Extension and Training in Balad District.
Through this activity, the Department of Field Crops sought to enhance the applied side of the students and link theoretical aspects with practical reality in the agricultural field.
The students toured the farm to see the advanced systems used in irrigation operations within the extension house, including sprinkler irrigation operations.
In turn, the staff of the Extension Department provided detailed explanations to the students about the mechanism of these systems and their importance in rationalizing water consumption and improving agricultural production.
It is noted that this visit comes within the scientific activities pursued by the college; aiming to develop students’ skills and enhance their applied knowledge in the field of modern agricultural technologies.
