A faculty member in the Department of Chemistry publishes a scientific paper on the dual-mode determination of paracetamol and ibuprofen in a Scopus-indexed journal
Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Farid Hamad, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra, has published a scientific paper in the journal Analytical Chemistry Letters, issued by the international publisher Taylor & Francis, and indexed in Scopus (Q3).
His research is entitled:
“Dual-mode determination of paracetamol and ibuprofen: Spectrophotometric detection via bisdemethoxycurcumin oxidative coupling and RP-HPLC quantification”.
The study aims to develop two analytical methods for determining paracetamol and ibuprofen in their pure forms and pharmaceutical preparations.
The first method is based on spectrophotometric detection using an oxidative coupling reaction with bisdemethoxycurcumin, while the second method employs reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), providing accurate and rapid analytical alternatives with significant applications in pharmaceutical and analytical fields..
