A lecturer at Samarra University publishes a co-authored scientific book on the immune response to some intestinal parasites.

Prof. Dr. (Ohood Mazahim Shaker), a teaching staff member at the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra, has published a joint scientific book with a teaching staff member from the University of Tikrit, published by Rataj House for Printing, Publishing, and Distribution.

The book was titled “The Immune Response to Some Intestinal Parasites,” in which she explained the most important changes and immune responses accompanying infection with intestinal parasites, and highlighted the role of the immune system in resisting these parasites and their impact on human health.

The book contained three chapters distributed over 138 pages, focusing on explaining the nature of intestinal parasites and mechanisms of infection, in addition to clarifying the patterns of humoral and cellular immune responses towards certain parasites.

In a related context, the two authors provided a scientific explanation supported by modern studies concerning the relationship between parasites and the immune system, while highlighting the importance of immune indicators in understanding the progression of infection and the mechanism of controlling it, which contributes to supporting researchers and postgraduate students in the fields of parasitology and its immunology.

In turn, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the Presidency of the University of Samarra congratulates the teaching staff member at the College of Applied Sciences for her distinguished scientific output, wishing her continued success in her academic and scientific career.

It is noted that this book is considered an important scientific addition to the academic library, as it contains modern information that contributes to enhancing scientific knowledge in the fields of parasitology and modern developments related to the immune response to parasitic diseases.
