The Scientific Assistant Chairs a Human Rights Meeting at the University

Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed (Assistant University President for Scientific Affairs) chaired the first Human Rights Division meeting for 2025 in his office, attended by the Human Rights Division Officer at the university presidency, Assistant Lecturer Zina Abdul Fattah Latif, and representatives from all college units.

The attendees discussed the annual plan prepared by the Human Rights Division for 2025, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Scientific Assistant emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to promote human rights values, stressing the necessity of integrating activities among colleges to ensure the achievement of the strategic plan’s objectives in alignment with the government program.

For her part, the Division Officer presented the main goals and proposed activities aimed at enhancing human rights culture within the university, in addition to identifying potential challenges and ways to overcome them to achieve desired outcomes.

She highlighted the need to activate the role of human rights units within university colleges to foster human rights concepts among the university community, through awareness campaigns, training programs, and initiatives.

The meeting concluded with practical recommendations to strengthen collaboration between various departments and units to ensure the success of the annual plan and maximize the achievement of its main objectives.
