Islamic Sciences College Organizes Workshop on the Philosophy of Creed Between Authenticity and Renewal
The Department of Creed at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scholarly seminar titled “The Philosophy of Islamic Creed: Authenticity and Renewal,” presented by a group of students from the department.
During the seminar, the students aimed to clarify the concepts of creed, authenticity, and renewal, explaining that authenticity means adherence to doctrinal constants, while renewal does not imply altering the fundamentals or compromising the core beliefs.
The participants recommended modernizing the teaching of creed through the use of technological tools, visual aids, and digital applications. They also emphasized the importance of encouraging jurisprudential reasoning within the bounds of Islamic law to address contemporary intellectual and scientific developments, as well as the necessity of responding to doctrinal misconceptions through scientific methodologies that integrate both authenticity and renewal.
