The College of Agriculture Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Economic Inflation: Its Causes and Ways to Combat It

The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Technology Incubator Unit at the College of Agriculture, Samarra University, held a scientific seminar entitled:

“Economic Inflation: Its Causes, Effects, and Ways to Combat It.” The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The seminar, presented by Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Naji Ajaj, addressed the concept of economic inflation, its main causes, and its negative repercussions on individuals, society, and the national economy. It also reviewed the most important methods and means to mitigate its effects and reduce its risks.

During the seminar, the lecturer emphasized that inflation is a common economic phenomenon and may be acceptable within normal limits. However, it becomes a real danger when it rises uncontrollably, due to its direct impact on purchasing power, living standards, and economic stability.

The seminar was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khalid Abdullah Suhr, Dean of the College of Agriculture, who emphasized the importance of holding such awareness seminars due to their role in enhancing economic literacy among students and faculty, and in connecting theoretical aspects with lived economic reality.
