In a related context, Mr. Sufyan explained ways to avoid common pre-collection errors, such as failing to verify the patient’s identity, which may lead to sample mix-ups, as well as improper disinfection of the puncture site.
On the practical side, students were trained on the correct steps of blood collection, starting from patient preparation and site sterilization to selecting the appropriate vein and using sterile medical equipment.
