Human Rights Unit Organizes a Seminar on the Role of Applied Sciences in Serving Society

The Human Rights Unit at the College of Applied Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Role of Applied Sciences in Serving Humanity and Society.” The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Omar Hamed Faleh, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.

During the seminar, the speaker highlighted the vital role of scientific research in finding effective solutions to health, environmental, and economic problems. He also emphasized the importance of raising community awareness about the practical application of applied sciences in line with labor market needs, in addition to encouraging students and researchers to pursue innovation and creativity.

At the conclusion of the seminar, several important recommendations were presented, including supporting innovation in scientific research, strengthening cooperation between Iraqi universities and research centers, and providing a supportive scientific environment for all students in order to motivate them to innovate within their fields of specialization.
