The College of Applied Sciences Council Holds Its Tenth Session

 

The Council of the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra held its tenth session, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Aysar Saleh Muhammad, with the attendance of Council members, to discuss a number of administrative and academic issues included in the agenda.

The session began with discussions on the first-year examination process, where the procedures taken to complete all requirements related to the conclusion of examinations were reviewed. This also included monitoring the work of examination committees and emphasizing the completion of results within the specified timelines and in accordance with the applicable ministerial instructions.

The Council also discussed the scientific promotion applications submitted by a number of the college’s teaching staff and followed up on their completion stages in line with the approved regulations and instructions. In addition, preparations for the competitive examination for postgraduate applicants were reviewed.

Dates were set for the defense of several postgraduate students in the Department of Pathological Analysis, and procedures for forming the defense committees were completed, along with ensuring the provision of all necessary requirements for conducting the defenses according to the approved academic procedures.

Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining the quality of scientific, cultural, and community activities carried out by the academic departments and various units, and on developing activities that contribute to enhancing students’ academic level and improving their skills and capabilities.

At the conclusion of the session, the Dean stressed the need to intensify efforts in the coming period and to work with greater efficiency to accomplish the tasks assigned to the academic departments and administrative units, particularly in completing the work of the examination committees during the first-year examination period and in preparing an appropriate environment for the competitive examination.
