Department of Russian at the College of Arts, University of Samarra Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Fasting and Its Impact on Human Health

The Department of Russian at the College of Arts, University of Samarra, in cooperation with the University Psychological Guidance Unit, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Fasting and Its Impact on Human Health.” The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students as part of the department’s academic and awareness-oriented activities aimed at promoting health culture within the university community.

The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Aseel Tayas Jabr, a faculty member in the Department of English at the College of Arts, and Mr. Nayef Faisal Mohammed, Head of the University Psychological Guidance Unit. The speakers addressed the health-related aspects of fasting and its positive effects on the human body, in addition to its role in regulating dietary habits and improving overall well-being.

The seminar also featured contributions from Dr. Muntaser Khalil Ibrahim, a faculty member in the Department of Russian, who presented scholarly interventions addressing the physical and psychological dimensions of fasting. He emphasized the importance of health awareness associated with this act of worship and its role in fostering a balanced and healthy lifestyle among individuals.
