Central Scientific Promotions Committee Holds Its Seventh Regular Meeting with Legal Member from Tikrit University in Attendance
The Central Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Samarra held its seventh regular meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Osama Nazem Najras and attended by the legal member Professor Dr. Sabah Misbah Mahmoud, a faculty member at the University of Tikrit, along with all committee members, on Sunday, April 13.
The attendees discussed several topics related to academic promotions for various ranks, in addition to reviewing new ministerial regulations concerning scientific promotions—especially those requiring legal clarification due to ambiguities in their legal phrasing.
The meeting also addressed the university’s and the committee’s readiness to begin using the electronic system for academic promotions.
Professor Dr. Osama Nazem Najras, Chair of the Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Samarra, confirmed that the committee will commence the use of the electronic system for scientific promotions starting on the first official workday, Monday, April 14, 2025, in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives.
