College of Agriculture Raises Awareness on Digital Exposure Risks
The College of Agriculture at the University of Samarra organized an awareness seminar titled “The Risks of Digital Exposure,” presented by Assist. Lect. Mahmoud Hamid Ibrahim and Mr. Hassan Ahmed Khudair.
The seminar aimed to highlight the “invisible impact” of an individual’s electronic life and clarify the concept of the “Digital Shadow”—the data users unintentionally leave behind while navigating the internet.
Likewise, provide a reading on the sources of exposure, which have multiple aspects, including social media, search engines and browsing, smart applications and devices, in addition to email and cloud services, as well as digital transactions.
The seminar concluded with digital security recommendations, including: continuous digital cleaning such as deleting unused accounts from your devices, reviewing privacy in your accounts, and most importantly, thinking before posting your private matters on the internet.
