A Segment of the Lecture on Quantitative Methods and SPSS Applications for Second-Year Students in the Department of Economics

Assistant Lecturer Hatem Abdulrahman Barak delivered a scientific lecture to second-year students in the Department of Economics entitled “Quantitative Methods and SPSS Applications.” The lecture aimed to introduce students to one of the most important statistical software packages used in data analysis across scientific research, as well as economic, medical, and other fields.

The lecture addressed SPSS as an advanced statistical tool distinguished by its ease of use and high accuracy of results, as it provides an integrated environment for organizing, processing, and analyzing data through a wide range of descriptive, inferential, and quantitative statistical methods.

In this context, the lecturer focused on introducing students to the fundamental principles of working with the software, starting from data entry, coding, and handling variables, and progressing to the application of appropriate statistical tests and the accurate scientific interpretation of statistical outputs. This emphasized the role of the program in transforming raw data into meaningful information that contributes to supporting the decision-making process.
