College of Administration and Economics Participates in the 2026 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Samarra took part in the activities of the 2026 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week, held under the slogan “From the Land of Mesopotamia, Ideas Emerge.” As part of its contribution, the College organized its scientific conference on Tuesday, 10 February 2025, in the Deanship Hall. The event was convened under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the Presidency of the University of Samarra, and with the direct oversight of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdulsalam Ahmed. The conference was attended by a distinguished assembly of academics, researchers, and students.
The conference program included the presentation of specialized scholarly papers, in addition to a comprehensive overview of the College’s activities and initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship, reflecting its proactive role in advancing entrepreneurial thought and fostering a culture of innovation within the academic community.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdulsalam Ahmed affirmed that hosting these activities is fully aligned with the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the vision of the University of Samarra, which seeks to nurture young talents, develop students’ creative capacities, and encourage the adoption of entrepreneurial ideas. Such efforts, he noted, contribute to preparing a generation capable of innovation and effective competition in the labor market.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week witnessed significant engagement from the College’s students, who emphasized the importance of these activities in enhancing their academic and practical competencies, gaining exposure to successful entrepreneurial experiences, and broadening their intellectual and professional perspectives.
At the conclusion of the conference, the College Deanship commended the efforts of all organizers and participants, reaffirming the College of Administration and Economics’ steadfast commitment to hosting scientific and intellectual initiatives that advance academic excellence and strengthen the University’s role in serving the broader community.
