Seminar Entitled “The Role of Women in Rationalizing Consumption and Enhancing Family Stability”

The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics organized a scientific seminar entitled *“The Role of Women in Rationalizing Consumption,”* presented by Assistant Lecturer Marwa Abdul Juwayr, as part of the college’s efforts to promote social awareness and reinforce the principles of responsible resource management.

The seminar addressed the pivotal role women play in managing family resources and organizing daily expenditures. It emphasized that rationalizing consumption does not imply deprivation; rather, it represents a conscious and balanced approach to utilizing resources in a manner that meets family needs without excess or wastefulness.

The seminar also highlighted women’s contribution to promoting a culture of saving and preserving essential resources such as water, electricity, and food, in addition to their educational role in instilling positive behaviors among children and strengthening the values of responsible consumption.

The speaker pointed out that women’s awareness and prudent financial management contribute significantly to supporting both the household and national economy through proper planning and the efficient use of resources.

The seminar concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably the need to organize continuous awareness programs and educational workshops aimed at strengthening women’s role in resource management, given its substantial impact on achieving sustainable development and building a more aware and stable society.
