A History Department student publishes a moving humanitarian article on the \”Injaz\” platform
Zaina Qahtan Abdul Nabi, a student in the Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Samarra, has published a literary article on the \”Injaz\” platform, sharing her personal experience of losing her father and the profound impact his passing has had on her life and academic journey.
In her article, she paints a heartfelt portrait of the close bond she shared with her father, who was her greatest source of support and the person who dreamed of seeing her achieve her ambitions. After his passing, she found herself facing a new reality, striving to transform her grief into motivation to persevere and succeed.
She also reflects on the moment when her academic results were announced—a moment in which the joy of success was intertwined with the pain of her father\’s absence. She then recounts an experience that changed her outlook on life: a small butterfly landed on her finger, filling her with a deep sense of peace. She interpreted the moment as a comforting message from her father, giving her the strength to continue pursuing her goals.
At the end of the article, Zaina addresses her father\’s memory with touching words, affirming that she has continued along the path he had always hoped she would follow and is now approaching graduation. Yet, she acknowledges that every achievement feels incomplete without him. She concludes by expressing her gratitude for the values of patience, resilience, and determination that he instilled in her.
