A History Department Student Publishes an Intellectual Article in Al-Dustour Newspaper

Student Jawaher Saleh Jasim, from the Department of History at the College of Education for Human Sciences, Samarra University, published an intellectual article entitled “When Survival Becomes Another Form of Success: Silent Loss in the Lives of University Students” in issue No. 6494 of Al-Dustour Newspaper.

The article highlighted the psychological and social challenges faced by many university students, particularly those experiencing loss and family or economic pressures. It emphasized that academic success should not be measured solely by grades, but also by a student\’s ability to continue their educational journey despite various human and personal challenges.

The student further noted that many students fight silent battles that remain unseen by others, and that persisting in their studies and achieving academic goals under such circumstances reflects resilience and determination. She called for greater attention to mental health and for creating a more understanding university environment that accommodates students\’ diverse needs and circumstances.
