Faculty Member from the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education Participates in the National Qur’an Day Celebration
Dr. Sattar Nazih Ahmed, a faculty member in the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Samarra, participated in the central ceremony held in the capital, Baghdad, on the occasion of the National Qur’an Day and the anniversary of the Prophetic Mission (Al-Mab‘ath Al-Nabawi). The event was attended by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, along with a number of religious, cultural, and academic figures.
In his speech, Prime Minister Al-Sudani affirmed that the Holy Qur’an is the constitution of life and a source of spiritual and moral strength for society. He called for adopting Qur’anic discourse as a foundation for promoting the values of unity and solidarity and for rejecting division and sectarian incitement, given its direct impact on societal stability and development.
Dr. Sattar Nazih Ahmed’s participation in this celebration reflects the commitment of specialized academic staff at the College of Education for Humanities to engage with national events of religious and cultural significance, and to contribute to enhancing Qur’anic awareness and consolidating its values within both the educational and societal spheres.
