The Assistant Dean of the College of Education for Administrative Affairs participated in a legal workshop on regulating firearm possession
Professor Dr. Badr Lufta Najm, Assistant Dean of the College of Education for Humanities for Administrative Affairs, participated in a workshop organized by the College of Law at the University of Samarra entitled: “Registering Firearms and Obtaining a Possession License Legally,” in cooperation with the Salah al-Din Police Command / Weapons Control and Regulation Division.
His participation came within the framework of promoting legal and security awareness within the university community. Dr. Najm delivered a specialized session focusing on mechanisms for regulating firearm possession in the university environment through organizing security permit procedures and adherence to approved regulations, in line with public safety requirements.
He explained that the university environment is governed by strict regulations regarding firearm possession, based on security screening and legal conditions, while emphasizing the rejection of any practices that conflict with the nature of the campus as a safe academic space. He also clarified the categories covered by licensing according to official procedures, stressing the necessity of complying with legal measures to maintain stability within the educational institution.
