The Department of Quranic Sciences discusses a masters thesis on the narrations of Abu Said al-Khudri in Jami al-Tirmidhi

The Department of Qur’anic Sciences at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Samarra, discussed a master’s thesis entitled: “The Narrations of the Companion Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) in Jami‘ Imam al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him), from the Chapters on the Description of the Day of Resurrection, Softening the Hearts, Asceticism, to the End of the Book – An Analytical Study,” submitted by the student Mohammed Ramadan Ismail.

The study aimed to examine the narrations of the noble Companion Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) as recorded in Jami‘ Imam al-Tirmidhi, and to analyze their scholarly and hadith-related contents within the chapters on the Description of the Day of Resurrection, softening the hearts, asceticism, interpretation, virtues, and supplications. The research also highlighted the doctrinal, educational, and ethical implications reflected in these narrations.

The first chapter included an introduction to the life of the Companion Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), as well as a study of the life of Imam al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) and his book Al-Jami‘, in addition to clarifying his scholarly status and the opinions of scholars regarding him.

The second chapter focused on the narrations of Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) in the chapters concerning the Description of the Day of Resurrection, softening the hearts, asceticism, interpretation, virtues, and supplications, together with an analysis of the hadiths, their chains of transmission, and the meanings and indications they contain.
