Department of Chemistry Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Academic Ambition and Future Building

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra organized a scientific seminar entitled “Academic Ambition and Future Building,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Jassim Ahmed Hassan.

The seminar aimed to present a fundamental vision that academic ambition is not merely the pursuit of academic degrees, but rather a “philosophy of building” that goes beyond classrooms to reach horizons of societal impact and scientific innovation. This is achieved through a balanced integration between rigorous research in chemistry and modern skills required by rapid technological transformations.

Hassan explained how academic challenges can be transformed into opportunities for growth, emphasizing that bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application is the true gateway to leadership. He also highlighted that true ambition belongs to those who possess the courage to question and the flexibility to change, relying on a motivating academic environment that drives them toward excellence, enabling them to become active contributors to development and prosperity.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the speaker affirmed that building the future begins with a mindset that believes in continuous learning, and that the true mark of an academic is measured by the solutions they provide and the impact they leave on science and the nation.
