Department of Chemistry Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Nanotechnology Between Reality and Ambition
The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra organized a scientific seminar titled “Nanotechnology Between Reality and Ambition: Advantages, Disadvantages, and Manufacturing Challenges”, presented by Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Masoud and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Daham Humaidi.
The seminar aimed to introduce the fundamentals of nanotechnology and highlight its modern scientific importance, with a focus on its various applications in medical, environmental, and industrial fields, in addition to its role in developing modern diagnostic methods.
The seminar also discussed issues related to the disadvantages of using nanoparticles and the potential negative impacts associated with them on both health and environmental levels, as well as reviewing the major challenges and obstacles facing manufacturing processes and industrial-scale applications.
At the conclusion of the activity, the speakers emphasized the importance of continuing scientific research in the field of nanotechnology in order to benefit from its broad potential while taking into account the health and environmental aspects associated with its use.
