Department of Life Sciences Holds a Scientific Seminar on “How to Leave a Positive Impact in Your University Life”
The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra held a scientific seminar titled “How to Leave a Positive Impact in Your University Life,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalida Khalil Abdullah and Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Ismail Hussein.
The presenters emphasized the importance of students playing an active role in their community, ensuring that their contributions extend beyond themselves to benefit others. They highlighted that a student’s true impact is measured by the الخير and value they offer to those around them, stressing the need to be a positive role model through actions and behavior, not just words.
Dr. Abdullah pointed out that students should carry a clear message in life that reflects their principles and ambitions, guiding their decisions both inside and outside the university. She warned that the absence of such a message may lead to a loss of direction and purpose.
For her part, Ms. Hussein explained that true human impact is not measured solely by academic achievement and degrees—despite their importance—but by the positive influence one leaves on others through kind words, noble actions, and sincere support.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the speakers encouraged students to make their university journey an opportunity to build a character remembered for goodness—not only for academic achievements, but also for ethics and a lasting human impact that remains in people’s memories.
