A Seminar at the College of Engineering Emphasizes the Role of Academic Institutions in Environmental Protection
The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Samarra, organized a specialized scientific seminar titled “Environmental Awareness in Universities.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Mohammed Jamil Mahdi, in the presence of the heads of scientific departments and a gathering of faculty members and students.
The seminar highlighted the pivotal role of academic institutions in building a sustainable future by cultivating an environmentally responsible generation. The lecturer presented real-world examples of the university’s successful initiatives, most notably the reliance on solar panels for power generation, water conservation campaigns, and the expansion of green spaces.
The event witnessed broad positive engagement from the attendees, who praised the insights presented for enhancing community participation in environmental preservation.
