College of Engineering Hosts Awareness Lecture on Health Prevention and Early Detection Mechanisms

The College of Engineering at the University of Samarra hosted an awareness lecture, organized in coordination with the Samarra Health Sector – Al-Ifraz Health Center (Health Promotion Unit, Communicable Diseases Unit, and the Early Detection Program). The event aimed to consolidate a culture of prevention and protect the university community. It was presented by a specialized team including Senior Chemist Mohammed Abdul-Qader Hussein, Badour Hatim Jassim, Ghusoon Jassim, Hind Mohammed, and Ghufran Mohammed.
​The seminar included essential pillars focusing on the risks of immunodeficiency and ways to enhance the body’s defense system efficiency by following healthy lifestyles and adhering to periodic vaccinations.
​At the same time, the event—which featured the distribution of educational leaflets to visitors of the charity market organized by the College of Engineering as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 activities—focused on the strategic importance of early detection of breast cancer as a decisive step to increase recovery rates, while urging female attendees to adopt a culture of self-examination and regular visits to specialized centers.
​The event concluded by emphasizing that the synergy of efforts between the academic and health sectors is a fundamental pillar for building a protected society capable of facing health challenges with high efficiency and awareness.
