In Conjunction with Iraqi Women’s Day.. The College of Engineering Organizes a Workshop on Professional and Family Balance Strategies
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Samarra—coinciding with the National Day of Iraqi Women—organized a specialized workshop titled “The Success Matrix: Iraqi Women’s Strategies for Balancing Entrepreneurship and Family Responsibility.” The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Amna Mahdi Abdul Majeed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
The workshop presenter reviewed a practical framework aimed at enhancing women’s efficiency in achieving a balance between professional ambition and family stability, tailored to their specific circumstances and life stages. She emphasized that success does not mean abandoning one role for the sake of the other, but rather lies in conscious planning and priority management to reduce stress and psychological exhaustion.
In a related context, the workshop included mechanisms for applying the “Success Matrix” by assessing energy and time while identifying personal values. It highlighted practical time management tools, such as flexible schedules and weekly reviews, as well as strategies for confronting societal challenges and the guilt resulting from the pressures of comparison.
On the sidelines of the workshop, awareness brochures titled “Between Ambition and Nurturing” were distributed. These contained inspiring messages about administrative intelligence and the importance of psychological support and empowerment, while encouraging the practice of smart delegation and self-investment as the fundamental pillars for sustaining creativity without neglecting family duties.
The activity concluded with an interactive session where attendees participated by writing down the most prominent pressures they face. This created a space for exchanging experiences and identifying realistic obstacles to success.
