Teaching Proficiency Committee Tests a Group of Postgraduate Degree Holders

The Teaching Proficiency Committee for Engineering Specializations at the University of Samarra conducted an academic test for a group of postgraduate degree holders seeking to obtain a teaching proficiency certificate.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Ismail Aliwi, head of the committee, emphasized that this test primarily aims to measure the scientific capabilities and academic skills of the applicants, verifying their merit in managing classrooms and delivering scientific material to university students with high efficiency.
The test included the committee members listening to model lectures presented by the applicants, focusing the evaluation on precise professional criteria including general appearance, linguistic integrity, and cognitive mastery of the specific specialization. Additionally, it assessed communication skills and the ability to employ modern technologies in teaching methods, with the committee providing evaluative feedback aimed at refining the applicants’ academic performance.
These tests serve as an essential requirement and a complementary stage following the completion of a teaching methods course. They are among the necessary legal and academic requirements for practicing the teaching profession in all educational institutions, whether in public or private institutes and universities, ensuring the maintenance of the scientific rigor of the educational process.
