A Scientific and Educational Seminar on the Shield of Awareness and What University Students Need
The Department of Sharia at the College of Islamic Sciences, in cooperation with Dr. Raed Ibrahim Al-Wardi, Executive Director of the Sakan Foundation for Safe Homes, organized a scientific and educational seminar entitled:
“The Shield of Awareness – What University Students Need,” held in the Knowledge Hall with a distinguished attendance of faculty members and students.
The seminar featured presentations by a select group of faculty members and specialists, including: Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Khudair Jassim, Dr. Raed Ibrahim Al-Wardi, Dr. Hisham Hamid Ali, and Dr. Jinan Shaker Ali.
The seminar addressed four main themes aimed at strengthening the university student’s character and building their intellectual and cultural awareness. These themes included: developing cultural awareness among university students, confronting academic challenges, achieving a balance between academic and personal life, and emphasizing that faith-based fortification is the best weapon against intellectual and behavioral deviations.
The seminar witnessed broad participation from attendees, given its important topics that address the realities of university students and contribute to developing their academic and behavioral awareness, thus strengthening the university’s role in preparing a conscious and responsible generation capable of facing contemporary challenges.
