The College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific course titled: “Arabic Language Sciences in ChatGPT and How to Benefit from It,” addressing the role of modern technologies in supporting the process of teaching and learning, particularly in the field of the Arabic language.
The course aimed to introduce participants to the nature of artificial intelligence and how it works in language processing, while highlighting the capabilities offered by ChatGPT in serving Arabic language sciences such as grammar, morphology, rhetoric, prosody, and literary text analysis.
The course also explored practical applications of the program, demonstrating how it can be used to explain grammatical rules in a simplified manner, correct linguistic errors, generate practical examples, and assist in writing and structuring academic literary research according to sound scientific standards.
Additionally, it covered its use in translation, summarization, text analysis, and suggesting research ideas, making it a supportive tool for students and researchers.
The course emphasized the importance of mastering proper usage skills, especially prompt writing, to obtain more accurate and high-quality results. It also stressed the need to verify information and avoid complete reliance on the tool to maintain scientific accuracy and methodological rigor.
In conclusion, the course highlighted that ChatGPT represents a modern and effective educational tool that enhances the understanding of Arabic language sciences and saves time and effort, provided it is used with sound academic awareness as a supportive—not substitutive—resource for researchers.
