Active Scientific Participation by Dr. Asim Ahmed Abbas in a Scientific Conference on Community Building

Assistant Professor Dr. Asim Ahmed Abbas Al-Ta’i, a faculty member in the Department of Creed and Islamic Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences, participated in the scientific conference entitled “Enhancing the Role of Islamic, Social, and Human Studies in Community Building,” organized by the Iraqi Association for Qur’anic Sciences in cooperation with Al-Iraqia University, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics from various Iraqi universities.

Dr. Al-Ta’i presented a scientific paper entitled “The Role of Qur’anic and Modern Values in Enhancing Social Cohesion.” The paper addressed a topic related to Islamic studies, aiming to highlight the role of scientific research in addressing contemporary societal issues and to demonstrate the importance of integration between Islamic studies and the humanities and social sciences in consolidating moral values, enhancing societal awareness, and presenting scientific perspectives that contribute to serving society and keeping pace with the requirements of the era.

The research reached a number of findings, most notably emphasizing the importance of employing Islamic studies in addressing intellectual and social challenges, the need to strengthen integration among academic and research institutions in a way that contributes to developing scientific discourse, as well as the importance of supporting rigorous research that offers realistic solutions contributing to building a more aware and stable society.

This scientific participation came in appreciation of Dr. Asim’s contribution to the success of the conference activities, as he was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his scientific efforts and active participation in supporting the conference’s objectives, which aim to enhance the role of Islamic, social, and human studies in serving society and consolidating the values of dialogue and cognitive integration.

This participation reflects the commitment of faculty members to active presence in scientific conferences, contributing to the exchange of expertise, the development of scientific research, and the strengthening of academic cooperation among educational and research institutions, in a way that positively reflects on the progress of higher education and community service.
