As Part of Its Academic Activities: Sharia Department Launches Awareness Campaign on the Prophet’s Uncles, Aunts, and Wet Nurses

As part of its academic and awareness activities, the Sharia Department at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Samarra launched a field campaign involving the placement of educational posters titled “The Uncles, Aunts, and Wet Nurses of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)” throughout the college corridors and facilities.

The campaign aims to shed light on the human and social aspects of the Prophet’s biography by introducing his uncles and aunts, as well as the wet nurses who played an important role during the early stages of his blessed upbringing. This initiative seeks to enhance students’ knowledge of the Prophetic biography in a simplified and engaging manner.

A number of department students participated in implementing the campaign under the supervision of their instructors. They designed well-structured educational posters containing concise and well-documented information, carefully balancing both aesthetic and academic elements. The initiative received positive engagement from both students and faculty members.

This campaign is part of a series of activities through which the Sharia Department seeks to reinforce Islamic values and deepen awareness of the noble Prophetic biography, thereby enhancing students’ intellectual and cultural development.
